- I have a bluetooth logitech keyboard which has worked fine with windows until I paired it with a run from CD version of ubuntu. It worked fine with ubuntu. Then I rebooted my PC back into windows and found the keyboard K810 would no longer work. It has the keyboard driver listed in devices and I thought that if I uninstalled the driver it would allow it to reconnect.
The problem is that the device (currently greyed out) will not remove - I checked event viewer and it says
LG K10 USB Drivers Download & Installation Guide: Have you ever tried connecting your LG K10 to one of your computers and realized that it doesn't connect? This issue can be solved by installing the latest LG K10 USB Drivers for your Windows or Mac computer. You can search for your product by name, model number or part number. Or, locate your product using the categories below. The K810 is a Bluetooth illuminated keyboard that plays nice with nearly every OS platform with no rivals in sight. Logitech's K810 isn't the first illuminated wireless keyboard of its kind, it is however, Logitech's first multi-functional compact Bluetooth keyboard to feature backlit keys and a smart feature set. I found the problem. Even though all drivers were up to date with Windows update and/or SlimDrivers, there was something wrong with the driver for Network / Bluetooth controller. Fix - Uninstalled all network / BT controllers in Device Manager. - Scan for hardware changes. - Install all controllers with Windows Update. I have learned one thing. The K810 is also a touch wider, and weighs an ounce or 2 more, but in terms of design, from the key layout to the 19-millimeter key pitch to the size of the individual keys, the two are the same.

In the old days I would have booted into safe mode but cant see how to do that in windows 8

See my further reply below in answer to the first suggestion
After quickly running ubuntu live CD again the bluetooth device started working but still the keyboard driver is there. I re-installed the set point software but I dont think that installs drivers as such as according the the information it uses HID device driver - now that is listed twice in device manager - I presume once for the logitech keyboard and once for the mac usb keyboard I am using at the moment - though I dont know which of the two entries it is. I was wondering if I removed the two HID entries and then restarted would it force all keyboard drivers to reload? or is there some simple way to uninstall a corrupted driver
PLOT THICKENS
I went out today and purchased a blue tooth adapter which had specific drivers for Windows 8 however even though I installed it exactly as instructions windows still saw it as an unknown device - it searched for the drivers but didnt seem to know what it was.
I am wondering if I should try a system restore to a date before I lost access to the keyboard - it probably wont install the right pairing code as the keyboard was briefly paired with another device however I am thinking if I can get back to the point where the drivers were presumably OK I might be able to uninstall the driver and re-pair the keyboard. Failing that I cant see any alternative to re-installing windows which means that I am going to lose some of my software as it was installed using licenses only available for a particular day. It is also a heck of a lot of work as I have a lot of software to re-install. That would have to wait for the weekend when I don't need the computer to connect to my office
It's hard to envision a single broad usage model for Logitech's new Bluetooth Illuminated Keyboard K810. Here's how Logitech describes it: 'A stylish, backlit keyboard with one-touch easy switching between your PC, tablet, and smartphone.'
I don't suspect many people wish they had a keyboard handy to swap between those three particular devices, but Logitech is nonetheless onto something with the K810.

I can see swapping it between a tablet and a desktop, or perhaps among multiple tablets. It would even make a great living-room keyboard thanks to its tidy, unobtrusive design.

Regardless of its intended use, anyone who buys the K810 will pay a lot for the privilege, given the $99.99 price tag. Those who make that commitment will at least get to enjoy a well-made, attractive piece of hardware. They might even take advantage of its device-swapping capabilities.
Free download touch screen drivers. Logitech seems to have almost directly targeted Apple's $69 Wireless Keyboard with the K810, an update to the K800 from 2010. Logitech's new keyboard has a metal-and-plastic body; Apple uses only aluminum. The K810 is also a touch wider, and weighs an ounce or 2 more, but in terms of design, from the key layout to the 19-millimeter key pitch to the size of the individual keys, the two are the same.
The K810's keys feel a touch springier than Apple's. Apple's keyboard also uses two AA batteries, while Logitech's relies on charging via an included Micro-USB cable. Logitech says a single charge will last 10 days, which you can extend if you use the on/off switch.
Logitech's keyboard also has a dedicated Windows 8 key, in the same place where you'll find the Option key on Apple's keyboard. Regardless of any OS-specific features, though, both keyboards will work with any contemporary device equipped with a Bluetooth receiver. I successfully connected it to computers running OS X, Windows 8, and Windows 7, as well as multiple iOS devices, an Android-powered smartphone, and a PlayStation 3.
The fact that the K810 is backlit is significant. Apple's keyboard is not, and neither is Microsoft's new Wedge Mobile Keyboard . The backlighting obviously gives the K810 an advantage, and it's made even better by a responsive, convenient sensor system.

The motion sensor automatically toggles the lighting power when you move your hand to the keyboard. Another sensor measures the ambient light level, and adjusts the backlight brightness accordingly. https://drivetree925.weebly.com/vgn-nr123e-driver-for-mac.html. You can also adjust the light output up or down manually via a set of function keys. When you stop typing for a few seconds, the backlight shuts down.
